Step 1:
Booking your safari

Send an email to info@htksafaris.com for a quote and available dates. Once you accepted our quote, a 50% deposit on your daily rates will confirm and reserve your spot at HTK Safaris. We will provide you with the necessary paperwork for your trip, as well as a hunting contract, which will contain an indemnity form, packing list and the terms and conditions of HTK Safaris.

Step 2:
Book your flight

After completed step one of booking your unforgettable trip to Africa, it’s time to make some travel arrangements. You can book your own flights or make use of a booking agency. Remember to book your flight to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg with a connecting flight to Kimberley the next day. Spend the night in Africa Sky Boutique Hotel and they will take you back to the airport for your connecting flight the next morning.

Step 3:
Licenses & Permits

You will need to apply for import permits for your rifles if travelling with your own rifles. HTK Safaris can assist you with the application process. There will also be well equipped rifles available in camp for hire.

Some animals you hunt needs special CITIES permits and we need to put in the applications in advance. HTK Safaris will guide you on which animals will need special permits when we do the quote and we will assist you with all the necessary paperwork regarding permits

Step 4:
Meet & Greet on Arrival

Upon arrival in Johannesburg the friendly staff of Africa Sky Boutique Hotel will pick you up at the airport if you are spending the night before your connecting flight to Kimberley the next morning. In Kimberley you will meet owner and outfitter Brendan Jonker himself or a representative Professional Hunter of HTK Safaris. From Kimberley you should reach camp within 5 hours. We can also pick you up directly from Johannesburg airport and start the 9 hour drive back to camp. We will make sure to communicate all the arrangements early on to ensure a stress free experience in Africa!

Terms & Conditions

When you accept your quote, we will send you a hunting contract with all the basic terms and conditions for your hunt. Due to the nature of travel and hunting in Africa, rates and conditions are subject to change. We reserve the right to alter and change any of the above conditions without prior notice. Packing List

We have you covered on what to pack and what not. Most clients bring a lot of stuff they never use on their trip.

We are here to help you travel light and easy.

With our hunting contract we have a detailed packing list from documentation to clothes and more – providing you with hassle free traveling.

Insurance & Medical

You are not covered by any insurance at HTK Safaris. Therefore we strongly advise you to make the necessary arrangements to ensure that you and your equipment are fully insured for the duration of your stay at HTK Safaris. Rest assured that we do our best to ensure your safety at all times.

Consult your medical practitioner on vaccination for diseases in the area you will be hunting. HTK Safaris will give clear indications when traveling to Malaria areas beforehand, although most hunting in South Africa will be in a Malaria free area.

Taxidermy

We take good care of all trophies hunted during your stay at HTK Safaris. We do the necessary field work and preparation, while you enjoy your hunt. After the hunt we send the trophies to the taxidermy of your choice, although we recommend Moredou Taxidermy. Animals doesn’t have to be mounted in South Africa, Moredou Taxidermy will also be able to arrange the dip and ship to your preferred taxidermy elsewhere.
