The beauty of South Africa is beyond belief and when you have a professional hunter like Brendan, it makes the experience one you will talk about the rest of your life. Brendan is a great person who will ensure you have an incredible experience and hunt. I will be coming back soon!

Since I was a child I dreamed of going to South Africa to hunt. I have had the absolute pleasure of hunting with Brendan on two South African Safaris. Brendan’s character, knowledge, passion, and work ethic are first class resulting in beautiful trophies, memories, and a lifelong friendship.

The entire experience is so much more than a hunting trip and truly exceeds all expectations.  I look forward to our next adventure together!

My father and I hunted with Brendan first week of July and I just wanted to say that he did a great job. He taught us so much about these animals and judgement on them for us to be able to harvest the most mature animals we can. Also the great judgement and thinking at last minute to allow us to make the best shot possible.

He’s a great guy and also made our hunting week even better, we will definitely be back. The  trip it’s self was a great time, getting to see animals we never seen before, the trackers doing their job and all the  people working at the lodge where great.

We will definitely be back sooner than later.

I recently bow hunted with PH Brendan. He was the best PH I’ve ever hunted with.

He is extremely hard working and relentless when in the field. One particular day we hunted for Red Lechwe. We stalked from sunrise to sunset with a bunch of close calls along the way. Finally right at sunset we took a beautiful Lechwe . What an incredible day!

Brendan just had no quit in him, his hard work and determination was the deciding factor in a hunt of a lifetime. I would highly recommend Brendan to anyone looking for a great PH. I promise you that you won’t be disappointed.

On June 19th of 2024, I travelled to South Africa to embark on an adventure of a lifetime. When I arrived at the lodge I was taken back by the outstanding facilities and professional staff. I had no idea what I had gotten myself into, but I felt like I was in good hands the minute I met the owners of the lodge and when I met my Professional Hunter, Brendan Jonker.

Right from the get-go Brendan wanted to learn as much as he could about me and my hunting partner. After discussing what we wanted to harvest and checking weather patterns, he devised a plan that would be advantageous for both of us.

To say Brendan is a professional is an understatement. He treated us with respect and made every effort to make things as comfortable as possible during our hunt. I was especially impressed as to how knowledgeable he was with regards to the animals, weather patterns, tracking, safety, and his natural ability to communicate about any topic brought up during the hunt.

Hunting from a bow blind can take its toll if you are not used to sitting for long periods of time but Brendan made it entertaining with his wit and just plain old conversation regarding hunting in South Africa. We learned a lot about him and his passion for being a Professional Hunter. I never knew what Professional Hunters must go through to obtain that designation. I can say without a doubt that Brendan is a true professional and truly passionate about his craft. When the day was over, he always made sure we were okay and asked what he could have done to make our experience better.

If you plan a hunting trip to South Africa and are paired with a Professional Hunter, I hope it is Brendan. You will not be disappointed.

In August of 2023, my family and I hunted Africa for the first time, and we went with Molopo Kalahari Safaris, where we met Brendan. Our introduction lasted the duration of a 4 hour car ride from the Kimberly airport to the lodge, and it was readily apparent that Brendan was extremely personable and very enjoyable to be around. I thought we’d be in for a great week, and even my highest expectations were succeeded.

All week we had the privilege of learning a seemingly endless amount about the wildlife and continent as a whole from Brendan, all the while he kept a sharp lookout for whichever species we were after. You can tell he truly cares about the hunt and treats each group of hunters and visitors as another adventure all on its own, rather than just another day at work. He is a great person to be around and makes you feel like good friends, rather than clients.

My father and I ended up taking a pair of truly exceptional Kudu bulls, a gemsbok, and zebra. We hunted hard all week and there was never a lack of determination or effort from anyone, especially Brendan, and we pushed hard until we filled our last tag with, quite literally, 30 minutes left in our hunt. I cannot imagine a better introduction to African hunting than what Brendan and the Molopo team showed us throughout our time, which ended up with us rebooking, and we couldn’t be more excited to see them in 2025. You will be hard pressed to find a PH more knowledgeable, dedicated, or as driven to give you the best experience possible.

I travelled to South Africa with my daughter in June of 2023, and did a combination of tourism and hunting in various areas of South Africa, with Brendan Jonker as my PH.

Brendan picked us up after our arrival in Johannesburg, and we travelled to Pilansberg for a day of wildlife viewing in that wonderful park. Brendan took great care of us, and made sure that we saw so many African animals that day. He even kept his cool when we got into a dicey situation where we had a big bull elephant walking down the road towards us, and we were blocked from retreating by some cows and calves! We spent the next day visiting a cheetah rescue centre, elephant sanctuary, and monkey sanctuary which was an amazing experience!

We then travelled to the Free State to hunt caracal and serval with hounds. Brendan was the ever gracious host during our travels between areas, and we felt safe and in good hands with him at our side. I’m quite the talker, and he was patient with my constant questions about the things we saw outside the window. After a successful hunt for both cat species in one morning, we found some other tourist sites to visit in the area where we were staying in order to pass the time until we could travel to our next hunting area to pursue Nyala and Bushbuck. Hunting proved to be challenging for these two animals, but as they were my #1 and #2 animals on this trip, Brendan was able to extend our time at our hunting area. As our time was winding down, he could sense my frustration in failure to get on the sticks, and worked diligently to find additional hunting areas close by that we could visit. I ended up taking a beautiful Nyala and Black Wildebeest on the day before departure. He even managed to find a hunting area where my daughter had a good chance at an impala, and thankfully she was able to connect on a beautiful ram on our way to the airport. Brendan worked very hard up until the last minute! Brendan helped make our 2023 trip to South Africa a special experience, and we can’t wait to go back.

Being my first trip to South Africa for a hunt, I was lucky enough to go on a Kalahari Safari hunt in which Brendan Jonker was my professional hunter (PH). From the time he picked my wife and I up at the airport, Brendan is the definition of a professional hunter in every way. He went out of his way to make sure my wife and I were comfortable.

Once we got to the ranch and it was time to go hunting, from the time we drove out the gate on the ranch, Brendan made sure we saw a lot of animals every day and the quality of animals we hunted were top notch. A phenomenal guide and tracker, on point working with me to find that perfect trophy. Polite, funny, always making sure we had what we needed and down to earth. He always made sure we had many different animals to stalk, and never complained about me taking too long to keep up or even take a shot.

We had a very successful hunt with him putting me on Gemsbok, Blesbok, Impala, a massive Kudu, and a White Blesbok. Being a skilled hunter, Brendan was very patient and extremely helpful when we were on the ground hunting or riding around looking for the right animal. We had such a great time that we recommend his services to any safari hunter. It was such a great experience to go to South Africa and to have a great PH like Brendan Jonker truly made it an awesome trip for my wife and I to experience.

My wife and I are looking forward to the next hunting trip to South Africa and yes Brendan will be my PH.
